About us
A family workshop, one bench
Senger Jewellery is the workshop of Melanie von Senger Loeper, in Santiago, Chile. Everything we publish is made here, by hand.
Our workshop began in 2019 as a family project, driven by a passion for making unique pieces out of the natural beauty of gemstones and the nobility of metals.
Every piece is made by hand, watching each detail of the process and valuing the craft that turns materials with a history into pieces full of identity. We are inspired by the shapes, textures and colours we find in nature, looking for designs that connect with the people who wear them.
Our path is built on constant learning, training and the development of new techniques, to sharpen the craft and deliver quality pieces made with dedication and a love of silversmithing.
How we work
Three things we do not compromise
-
01
Made by hand
Every piece is built at the bench: cut, filed, soldered and polished by hand. There is no series production.
-
02
Our own setting
Stones are set in the workshop, one by one — to grain, in a bezel or by tension, depending on what the stone asks for.
-
03
One of a kind
We work on unique pieces or very small series. That is why every listing states its exact size and measurements.
The process
What happens before the photograph
No piece leaves the workshop without passing through these hands several times. This is the route.
- 01
The stone first
It starts by choosing the gem: its colour, cut and size decide the shape the metal will take.
- 02
Fabrication
The band and the setting are raised by hand from raw metal, adjusted to the final size.
- 03
Setting
The stone is seated and secured with the right technique. It is the slowest and most delicate step.
- 04
Finishing
Polishing, inspection and a final check of the finished piece, before it is photographed and published.
More than accessories, we want to make pieces with meaning: jewellery that accompanies special moments and keeps a story through time.
